Meet Crispin Shininger, a senior at Mascoutah High School, musical theatre lover, and avid jazz vocalist. Crispin will be performing “What Do I Need With Love” from Thoroughly Modern Millie— a perfect blend of his two favorite worlds, jazz and theatre, and a song that lets him embody, interact with, and articulate the emotional transformation of the character on stage.
Inspired by his artistic family and dedicated voice teachers, Crispin sees performing as an escape—an opportunity to step into someone new and make audiences smile, feel, and connect.
With four years of training and standout credits like ILMEA All-State Vocalist, Arts For Life Award nominee, and performing with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Crispin is already making his mark. After graduation, he plans to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre (and maybe Jazz Vocal Studies, too!).
